Data controller

The data controller for ListingTranslatoris Evrenus Fırat Polat, Kocaeli, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected]. For buyer data synced from Etsy orders, the connected shop's owner is the controller and we act as their processor (see "Order data" below).

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, name (optional), and a hashed password or your Google account identifier.
  • Etsy data: your Etsy user ID, shop ID/name, OAuth tokens (stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM), and listing content (titles, descriptions, tags) needed to perform translations. Cached listing data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
  • Order data:if you use order sync, we store your shop's Etsy receipts on your behalf, including the buyer's name, shipping address, order items, payment status and — only where Etsy has separately approved access — the buyer's email address. We process this data solely so you can view and manage your orders; you remain the data controller for your buyers' data and we act as your processor.
  • Payment data: payments are processed entirely by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see your card details — we only store transaction IDs and the credits purchased.

Legal bases

We process your data to perform our contract with you (operating the service, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), to comply with legal obligations such as accounting (Art. 6(1)(c)), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How we use it

To operate the service: authenticating you, fetching and translating your listings, publishing translations to Etsy, tracking your credit balance, and providing support. Listing content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate translations.

What we don't do

  • No sale of personal data — ever.
  • No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
  • No analytics scripts at this time.

Data retention and deletion

Cached Etsy listing data expires after 24 hours. Synced order data is kept only while the shop it belongs to stays connected — it is deleted when you disconnect a shop or delete your account. You can delete your account in the dashboard settings at any time: this removes your stored Etsy tokens, disconnects your shops, deletes cached listing and order data, and anonymizes your account data. Ledger records required for accounting are retained in anonymized form.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, rectify, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. You can download a full copy of your data at any time from the dashboard settings ("Download my data") and delete your account there as well. For anything else, contact us at [email protected] — we respond within 30 days.

Processors

We use the following processors: our hosting provider (EU-based VPS), MongoDB for data storage, Anthropic for AI translation and listing text generation, fal.ai for AI image and video generation (product images only — no personal data), Etsy for shop integration, and Paddle for payments. Where a processor is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
